Teja analyzes investment opportunities for Noetic, a venture capital firm focused on improving mental health care. In his previous role with TIAP (aka MaRS Innovation), Teja scouted for and analyzed promising scientific opportunities from academic and clinical institutions with the aim of boosting their commercial/translational potential.
Prior to joining TIAP, Teja developed a market entry strategy for a SaaS firm aiming to enter healthcare. During his doctoral training, he identified potentially first-in-class anti-diabetic agents to regulate glucose levels through insulin-independent mechanisms. Teja is an engineer by training, incl. practical experience in medical instrumentation, downstream processing, and spectroscopy.
Teja holds a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from the Max Planck Society, Germany and an M.Tech + B.Tech in Biotechnology (Minor in Chemistry) from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in India.
